| Bienvenue au 22e tournoi bénéfice des Anciens de Dorval Le premier tournoi de Dorval a eu lieu en 1987 avec 16 équipes participantes. Guy Viau a présidé l’organisation du tournoi dès son inception et jusqu’en 1990. En 1991 avec une popularité croissante, le tournoi a doublé sa participation, allant de 16 à 32 équipes. Al Noftall a siégé comme président lors de cette période. Il a parrainé une deuxième expansion du nombre d’équipes de 32 à 52. En 1999 Bruce Orr a assuré la relève jusqu’en 2006 qui fût l’année du 20e anniversaire de notre tournoi bénéfice. Depuis 2007, Paul Rastelli chapeaute une équipe renouvelée, qui envisage un avenir prometteur. Les changements importants qui se sont succédés lors de ces 21 dernières années nous posent un défi : celui de recueillir un maximum de fonds afin d’apporter un soutien constant aux organismes caritatifs de notre communauté. Ce défi nécessite une grande action concertée et notre principal actif dans cette action est notre armée d’heureux bénévoles. Depuis 1987 les Anciens de Dorval ont octroyé au-delà de 400 000 $ en dons à une kyrielle de projets communautaires locaux ainsi qu’aux hôpitaux Montréal Childrens’, le Lakeshore et Sainte Justine. Welcome to the 22nd Annual Dorval Oldtimers Charity Hockey Tournament The first Dorval Tournament started in 1987 as a 16-team tournament organized by Guy Viau who was Tournament Chairman from 1987 to 1990. In 1991, the tournament expanded to 32 teams due to the popularity of tournament hockey. From 1991 to 1999, Al Noftall served as Chairman, and during that time the number of teams increased again to 52. Bruce Orr served as Chairman until 2006 which was our 20th anniversary year. Since 2007, Paul Rastelli heads a renewed board and we look forward to a great future. There have been many changes during our 21 years of hosting tournaments and hopefully we will continue to prosper. We aim to raise as much money as we can for local charities. To that end, many aspects have to come together to make everything happen. Without our happy army of volunteers and gracious sponsors, we would not be able to succeed. Since 1987 the Dorval Oldtimers have contributed more than $400,000 to local youth and community programs as well as to the Montreal Children's, Lakeshore and Ste Justine hospitals.
