Président d'honneur - Honorary Chairman - Barry Coughlin
|
Barry Coughlin est un Ancien hockeyeur de Dorval
depuis 1986. Sa première contribution fut la tâche
de coordonnateur des joueurs de remplacement
pour les parties régulières du mardi soir. Ensuite
il a été secrétaire de la ligue. Il a poursuivi
en occupant le poste de président de la ligue
pendant deux ans. En 2005 ses pairs ont décidé
de reconnaître l’ampleur de sa contribution en lui
conférant l’honneur de l’inscrire dans le Temple de
la renommée des Anciens hockeyeurs de Dorval.
Il y a maintenant 18 ans que Barry a commencé à
s’occuper du recrutement de minuteurs pour le
tournoi-bénéfi ce avec Bob Leroux. Il est devenu
secrétaire du tournoi-bénéfi ce sous la présidence
de Bruce Orr et a été impliqué dans la rédaction et
la vente d’annonces dans le programme-souvenir.
Barry a chapeauté l’organisation des équipes
Dorval III de 1992 à 1999, ainsi que pour les
équipes Dorval 50B entre 2000 et 2007.
Sa plus grande fi erté est d’avoir réussi à obtenir
le prêt de la coupe Stanley lors de notre tournoibénéfi
ce en 2003.
Plus d’un membre de la famille Coughlin lui
portent souvent main forte lors de nos tournois et
Barry demeure un amateur éternel de notre sport
national.
C’est donc avec grande fi erté que les Anciens
hockeyeurs de Dorval désignent Barry Coughlin
Président d’honneur de notre 24e tournoi bénéfi ce
annuel.

Barry Coughlin has been a member of the Dorval
Oldtimers since 1986. His fi rst duty in the league
was to organize the spares every Tuesday night. He
later became league secretary and was president
for 2 years. Barry‘s contributions were recognized
in 2005 when he was bestowed the honour of
induction into the Dorval Oldtimers Hockey Hall
of Fame.
Some 18 years ago Barry started timekeeping for
the Charity tournament and then recruited other
players for that duty along with Bob Leroux. Barry
became secretary of the tournament under the
chairmanship of Bruce Orr. At the same time
Barry was involved with preparing the Souvenir
Program.
Barry also assembled the Dorval III tournament
team from 1992-1999 and the Dorval 50 B team
from 2000-2007.
One of Barry’s proudest achievements was to bring
the Stanley Cup to the tournament in 2003.
Barry and several members of the Coughlin Clan
still help out with the tournament and he remains
a true and fully committed fan of the game.
